Spending a romantic weekend in Banff and Canmore - what activities should we do?

My boyfriend and I are heading to Canmore for the weekend. We are wondering what would be some good activities and who to contact about doing them. We have thought about skating, sledding, sleigh ride ..and xcountry skiing. Anywhere for sure we should go? - and ideas on places to eat would be awesome too :)

Skiing, Grizzly House Fondue place, shopping

I think that you should try the grizzly house of fondue in banff (I think that's what its called). there chocolate fondue is to die for. The cheese fondue is very potent. at each booth they have a telephone and you can call other tables and they can call you. Its not cheap but it is truly an experience. I really think that you should go!!!

How about the riding up the gondola...on a clear day you can see for miles and some great pics worth taking up there. Relax in the hot springs in Banff. Check out the shopping if you both like it in Canmore and Banff. There are some unique stores there as well restaurants.

Rent some skis and go alpine skiing, it doesent get much better than Sunshine or Lake Louise, if your not up to a drive than just take the shuttle to Norquay! If your going to Lake Louise be sure to visit the lake and the Chateau Lake Louise, as well as when your in Banff visiting the Banff Springs Hotel is a must!!!
