How do residents of Llandaff feel about this ?

Cardiff Council places vulnerable people including those with daily living skills support needs, mental health issues etc. randomly into refurbished houses in that community without any support in place for these people. Do you have a local residents association and could give me any details if so? Would you be interested in more details about these concerns and would like to know what I have done to raise these issues up to now ?

Mental health simply means people who are low, upset, reclusive....very very few are harmful and almost all of them are only harmful to THEMSELVES....and as I said very very few of them would be living on their own anyway.

Why not have people who are sad, low, cut off from society living in houses? Where do you think they should live - locked up in a hospital?

I would go a step further than the other person who has responded and say why don't you volunteer with a group to spend time with these lovely people - no different to you or I and usually lovely because they appreciate what a good friend is after having been trodden down by life.

I hope you never encounter any mental problems in life with an attitude as highlighted in your question.

People with mental health issues can live normally in a community. Its just people like you will not give these people a chance. Menatl health problems can vary from stress, depression to alot worst. If they are on medictaion and it is controlled leave them alone.
Maybe you should visit a local mental health "drop in centre" Like MIND CYMRU and maybe you will see they are normal people who need support

Hi, I live in Greece now but my Aunt who is in Cardiff is working hard to help these people adapt to living in the community. She works with them daily in order to prepare them for life outside (many are currently in hospital or in special care homes).

I agree that the idea seems somewhat absurd (not because the people are a threat) with all the teenage gangs around who are likely to prey on such individuals.

I hope this decision by the council doesn;t backfire.
