You could also try the route planner on http://www.traveline-cymru.org.uk/ for other options

If you need to travel by public transport, train is likely to be your best option. Trains leave about once an hour during the day and take approx 1 hr 20 mins to get to Cardiff.

According to the AA routefinder, it's 52 miles from Llanelli to Cardiff, which should take about an hour (the M4 motorway goes directly between the two places).

i would say CAR depending on time of day but about 1hr

Don't know about the first part of the question but..........

which is the fastest means of transport?

The fastest car is...............

Thrust SSC (SuperSonic Car) is a British designed and built jet-propelled car developed by Richard Noble, Glynne Bowsher, Ron Ayers and Jeremy Bliss, which holds the world land speed record, set on October 15, 1997, when it achieved a speed of 1,228 km/h (763 mph) and became the first land vehicle to officially break the sound barrier, not considering the earlier but unproven claim of the Budweiser Rocket..

While the above is true, the fastest wheel driven car is the "Turbinator". The Turbinator is a turbine powered streamliner driven at the Bonneville Salt Flats, it's two way average speed was 427.832 mph. Thrust SSC is an airplane with wheels.

52 miles

Train - you need to change at Swansea High Street on most journeys

Trains from Cardiff Central to Llanelli run hourly and take 75 minutes. www.nationalrail.co.uk
