Hi, I am going to Chandigarh in a few weeks time. Can anyone tell me how is Chandigarh for non-Punjabis?

In other words, as I am a non-Punjabi I can't speak even a word of Punjabi. How hard will it be for me to live in the city? I mean in terms of taking rickshaws, taxis, dealing with ordinary people, asking for directions, information. Do you have to speak Punjabi to get a response or are people ok with Hindi. Can one survive and do day to day things in Chandigarh if you don't know Punjabi?

chandigarh is a cosmopolition city. do not worry you can talk in hindi as all of them including punjabi know hindi very well.
it is a city of all culture so you do not have any problem in chandigarh.
