What type of Idlis are avail. at Murugan Idli stands -- your experience, your favourites?

The one near Panagal Park- T-nagar? I think they are all the same -- I know they are in different locations -- is each one unique? I have heard that they carry a variety of idlis and wanted to know the variations...

No they sell only regular Idili, varieties of chutneys.

They ssell Dosa, Oothappam, Vada, Pongal etc like other restaurants but very tasty.*

which Murugan, there are many, anyhow idli is not harmful to the body, with molagapodi and chutney, good taste.

MURUGAN IDLI KADAI of T.Nagar is he origional shop.They used to serve tasty and spongy idlis with delicious coconut chuttney and small Onion Sambar and they maintain quality. So this shop gained much of popularity and doing very good business.

Later in the same name many shops selling Idlis have been opened at Velacherry, Adyar and several other places. I inquired at T.Nagar shop and met the owner and he said his shop only is the original and they are not having any branches and many have adopted their name to fool the public. These new shops are not maintaining the quality and some are not so good -

I came back to Chennai after 5 years to find that Hot Chips also has a chain of idli,vada,dosa kind of restaurants. Their idlid are good too.
However Murugan idlis are the best!
