How much does it cost to frugally live in Chile?

Maybe a furnished studio apartment, food, and a high-speed internet connection. Those are the essentials.

You'll have to check the prices of apartments in www.emol.cl (El Mercurio newspaper) or a local real estate office. I can recommend you one, it's called Hillside and it is based on Santiago and the owner speaks perfect english. You can chek them in www.hillside.cl
Frugally meaning how many meals a day? Transport costs? It will depend on how frugal you will be willing to live as people can live in Chile (or any other place) with the minimum wage which I bet it's not what you have in mind. Internet access will cost you more than frugal.

it depends on how frugally you are going to be

About 1200 per month. you did say frugally.
