Is any one traveling to Chile this summer with cultural embrace?

Every summer I go to Chile for business. There are several cultural events in Santiago alone. There is "Teatro a mil" which means that every day there is theatre all over town for just mil pesos entry fee (2 dollars) There is also the film festival every January. However, Chile's provinces are full of cutural events during summer. There is the Music Classical festival in Frutillar (south of Chile, 10th region by the lakes) where artists from Germany, Austria, etc come to play classical music. There is also the La Serena festival which is a pop music festival (4th region). You also have the Vi帽a del Mar music festival with international artists.
So, you have plenty to choose from in Santiago or provinces.

I go to Santiago almost every summer. They do not have as many cultural activities there b/c the City is fairly empty during summer. Although you can check the Handcrafts festival which takes place in Bella Vista in front of the Law School of UC. You can also check the the Handcraft fair Near Santa Lucia in Santiago. Film Festival in Downtown is very good too.

Note: Summer is really hot so do not over expose yourself to the sun. It can kill you. I forgot to tell you to check for Places like Comquimbo or any toward the North. They have a lot of festivals where a lot of young people go. You can also go to the South toward Puerto Montt. They have students from all over the country partying in the malecon (The sea walk). Food is not so great so i would go for fried seafood. CHILE IS FUN.
