Where can I buy some nice chilean handicrafts in Santiago?

Where can I buy some nice chilean handicrafts in Santiago?

Mike, I recommend two places. First, there's a hippie fair outside Bellas Artes museum every sunday and you can see things there. However, for me the best are Los Dominicos. It's like a small town, right besides Los Dominicos Church and it's called also el pueblito de los dominicos. There are hundreds of little hanidcraft shops there and they open every day. This place is in Vitacura.

Hi there, Opposite to Cerro Santa Lucia, cross Alameda there is a handicraft market there. Los Dominicos doesn't have a great selection and you will end up paying possibly double the price where you would buy handicrafts at Mercado Cerro Santa Lucia. This is due to the area (richer). Trust me. Also try to haggle at Santa Lucia

Either that if you like pottery I would suggest that you go to Pomaire which is an hour bus outside Santiago which has lots of craft and pottery stuff also cheaper than Los Dominicos, and while you are there eat a 0.5kg empanada for me :D.
