For Chinese people :) :) ....?

I am trying to find out the gender of my baby as I am pregnant using the Chinese Gender Predictor Chart.
I am wondering if I have to calculate my age using the Chinese years before finding the gender of my baby on the chart.

Please help me.
Can I use my age, or do I have to convert it to my Chinese age.

Thanks :)

Wow, you probably have "the book," too, from the sound of your question here. My mom, too, has a traditional Ming Li (鍛界悊 translates into "life philosophy" or "life logic") book, called 鍛界悊閫氭浉 (pronounced as Ming Li Tung Shu) or just 鍛界悊鏇?(pronounced as Ming Li Shu), that has all of this stuff in it. I, for one, don't believe in it because I've been raised with the scientific thinking. But my mom swears it works----and so did both of my grandmothers----in calculating me and my brother before birth. When I had my daughter, I absolutely refused to use it, thinking it was unreliable. But both my mom and my grandma calculated my daughter's gender (they did it separately) accurately before I had my ultrasound. I wanted a boy really bad so I was in complete denial----even after the ultrasound's proof.

And yes, you DO need to convert your age to the "lunar age" (Chinese age). Here's a link to find out your "lunar birth date"....

Today, February 18 = January 12th (per the Chinese calendar up on the wall in my house here). The year is still a 12-month system. So you just add 1 more year to whatever your age is from your lunar birth date, as the traditional Chinese counts the age from the point of conception onward.

This is really important because those Ming Li books calculate everything by the Chinese system. Even the hours of the day are based on the ancient Chinese 12-hour system, which then if you ever need to calculate anything using that system (such as calculating certain intuitive sensations at certain hours), you will need to convert the names to the regular hour intervals.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

No just use your regular age. I'm pretty sure that in modern day China they go by regular, not my old traditional systems.

There is no such thing as "Chinese age".

But here's the baby chart:

Chinese use ultrasonic. Another, cheaper, option would be to take a look after delivery.

PS: It could be a boy, if not, then I think a girl is quite possible.

Never heard about what you are talking about. Its probably a random traditional item developed by another race.

i'm chinese, i've never heard of the thing and i don't know anyone who uses it. if still wanna go and do it, you might wanna try both to be sure.
