Moving to the Cincinnati area - What do you like about Lebanon/Maineville areas?

Need help - I know nothing about Cincinnati - What is Maineville like vs Lebanon. Would this be a good place to live? or should I look in other areas around cincy?

Well, I disagree with everyone else. I lived in Lebanon for about 5 years and moved into the Liberty Township/West Chester area where I have been for the last 5 years. We loved Lebanon and would like to move back. In my opinion, its very well located between Dayton and Cincinnati. I was commuting to a building on 5th street in downtown Cincy, and it took me around 35-40 minutes depending on traffic. Downtown Dayton was about 5 minutes further. I dont know about the lowlife in Lebanon stuff either. South Lebanon is somewhat poor (excluding Rivers Bend), but its a different town entirely. Lebanon actually has quite a lot of people with quite a lot of money. Housing is a bit more reasonably priced than a lot of other places in Cincy, but not much. Its a very historic town, with a lot of cool old houses, but plenty of modern stuff too. It has Ohio's oldest Inn and Restaurant in it, named The Golden Lamb (eaten and stayed at by a number of Presidents, Charles Dickens, and many others). It has a cool authentic train that you can take rides on. It has the cheapest cable and phone rates in the Cincinnati area since the city started up its own system. School are very good, rated Excellent I believe. They have the biggest and best YMCA in the United States (you have to see this place to believe it- I have forgotten how many swimming pools it has, but its something like 7 or 8). It has a number of different festivals during the year, and it has a candlelight horse drawn carriage christmas parade. It has about 20,000 people, but has a very nice small-town feel to it. A real sense of community, a lot more so than many other towns. You can also buy a house there on an acre of land (or more) if you want pretty easily, which is something that is hard to do in many other Cincy area locations.
Other places you might want to look into that are nice: Liberty Township, West Chester, Symmes Township, Deerfield Township, Mason, Mariemont, Loveland, or Blue Ash. But I personally would like to move back to Lebanon at some point!

My dad lives just down the street from Mainville. Mainville is a small town. Just outside Morrow. Its a nice little town and has a good elementary school. Lebanon is a bit rougher. It has its newer areas but a little bit rougher. If you want really good schools head for Morrow. They have just built really nice schools and building more but taxes are high in Morrow and Mainville. Lebanon might be a little cheaper on taxes but not sure. Morrow/Mainville is closer to shopping I believe. But you can probably find a nice house at either. Good Luck in your move.

THEY ARE BOTH PRETTY SMALL AND ALSO NOT VERY CLOSE TO THE CITY IF YOU WORK DOWNTOWN OR NEARBY

My soon to be stepdaughter lives in Morrow, which is out there in the Lebanon, Maineville Area. Morrow and Maineville are okay, and even some parts of Lebanon. But depending on where you plan on working you may want to check into other areas around the city. ( I know for us to get to Morrow from the South Fairfield area is a 45min drive (one way), and that is with no traffic.

Lebanon is more trashy Maineville is nicer in spots, I would suggest Springboro or West Chester they are nice cities. Lebanon has more welfare and low liefs to be honest and Maineville is growing and rebuilding.
