What are some fun things to do in the Cincinnati area?

What are some fun things to do in the Cincinnati area?

There are lots of things to do, of course the time of year will dictate some of the outdoor activities and parks. You can catch a professional game whether it is the Reds or the Bengals. If you go to a Reds game make sue to check out the Hall Of Fame Museum next door. Also, located right next to the stadiums is the Freedom Museum. Which, would be a good way to make a day out of the downtown area. Also, dowtown is the Cincinnati Museum Center, which houses the Omnimax Theatre, the Natural History Musuem and the Cincinnati Musuem. It also has a traveling show that last two-three months depending upon it's popularity. Currently, it is The Bodies Exhibition. Also, there is a really nice Children's Museum there as well. If you travel a little further north into Clifton you can go to the zoo, which if you havenever been is a must do in Cincy.

Traveling further north on 71 is Kings Island Amusement Park. This will be dictated on what time of year you are traveling here, but it opens in late April through October. Right next door to Kings Island the Great Wolf Lodge, which has an indoor water Park. If you travel about 45 minutes further north on 71 you will find the outlet malls for some nice shopping.

Back in the Cincy area north on 75 you will find the Sheraton Hotel that also has a new indoor waterpark called Coco Key. There is a Dave and Busters nearby to this, so this could be a fun weekend as well.

If it is summer you can go east of the city to Anderson Twp to Coney Island. This historic park has been in the area for ages and is great for families with large and small kids. They have a huge pool and water slides and a smaller amusement park as well. Riverbend is right next door, which is rocking most nights of the spring and summer with the biggest acts.

Back south in Newport, KY is Newport on The Levee. This is a fun entertainment complex that has several resturants, bars, a theatre and some shopping. It also houses the Newport Aquarium and has phenomenol views of the city.

I am sure there are some things thati missed but this should give you a really good overview. You did not mention ages, so I did this more from a family point of view. If you were wanting more bar and nightlife ideas, feel free to email me.
