Hi! Info on accommodation in Cologne and traveling from Cologne to Liege, Belgium please...?

What's the best (and cheapest) way to travel from Cologne to Liege, Belgium in early September?
Also, any recommended low-budget places to stay in central Cologne?

Eurolines runs everyday between Cologne and Liege. I have shown the link in sources. The cost for a 1-way ticket will be around 20 Euro. The web site was not functioning properly today, but I'm sure you can e-mail them if it still is out.

As for keeping your budget on Cologne low for staying, it depends on what you mean by low-budget. If hostels are your thing, you can find enough information just googling "hostel cologne" such as the link shown below. If you still want a proper hotel, got to a general site like Hotelclub.net or similar sites and search your dates and compare.

Good luck and have a safe trip.

The Thalys train connects both cities, prices vary depending on how far ahead you book and there are some special prices for certain age groups.

The Thalys will bring you to Belgium easily. Everyday. A cheap place to stay is the IBIS Hotel inside the trainstation. If it is booked out try
www.hrs.de

Visit www.onevacationclub.com - You can book on line. I have used them in the past and are very good. Click on Holiday Shop or Worldwide Travel to find the hotels/stars/info/location etc.
You do not need to be a member to book the hotels, however as a member you will save more money as you will be able to book resorts and those prices are per unit rather than per person.
Have a nice holiday.

The best travel advice on the net is at tripadvisor.com! I use it for every trip I take...I've lived in Europe for five years and tripadvisor advice has never been wrong! Good luck!

take the train.. there's a deal on going from Cologne to Belgium. It's only like 50 euros round trip.
