Mc Carthy in Cork?

I know this is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I'm trying to research my paternal G-Grandparents.
From what I've been told my grandmother was one of 7 or 8 children born to John and Mary (Flynn?) McCarthy. Some of her siblings were Arthur, Nelly, Agnes, John and my grandmother Alicia (Alice).
So far I've found they came to the US before Ellis Island.
They were all Catholic, and with the exception of Alice we believe were baptized in a RC church in Cork.
I don't know where to go from here..any ideas??

Unfortunately no, I don't know where in Cork they were from.
I guess the time frame I'm talking about for them would be around the 1860's or 70's. I do know as I said they arrived in the USA before Ellis Island was established.

Well the 1911 census will be available to view for Cork soon.....so that may help!!! Keep an eye on the websitehttp://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

Before that maybe look at some geneology sites etc. that might help you narrow your search!!!
Do you know where in Cork they were born???

I know that, Mc Carthy is a Very popular name in Ireland.
It's popular in Cork too.
