Which cruise would you suggest?

Which cruise line would you suggest for
2 adults(in their 30's)
1 teenager (16)
1 kid (9)

We all want to go on a cruise but we arent quite sure which one..
Disney, carnival, royal, nickelodeon Etc.

We live in washington so we can pretty much fly to get to the cruise but our cruise should go to the bahamas or somewhere tropical like that. YOU GET ME? :] HAHHA.

Another web site to look into is crusiecritic.com it is fantastic. We just went on the NCL Pearl in Nov and we liked it very much it is a newer ship. We loved the freestyle. The food was good but no lobster night that was kind of a bummer. I enjoyed Holland America and I had my son who was 8 and his cousin who was 12 they both loved it and didn't want to get off the ship. The staff treated them so well, they had the best staff of all the ships, they felt like family by the end. I have been on the Freedom of the Sea's RCL and they have a fantastic water-park but you will share that ship with gobs and gobs of people. When on Holland they have wonderful crowd control. What I mean by that is they have many things going on at once that thin the crowds out plus they don't pack on as many people either. The food was fantastic, Lots of stuff for the kids to do they will have fun whatever ship you pick. I would look for ports like Cancun, Cozumel, St. Marten I would avoid Jamaica and the Bahamas. You have a lot of good info that came in - Go! you will have a great time and be treated like royalty.

All the cruises you mentioned would be good for families. Which one's best for you depends on what you and your family like.

Carnival has a great programs for kids and teens, as well as the best nightlife at sea for adults. The food and service are very good, but the atmosphere can focus more on "fun" than on being "polished"

RCI is more polished. Their programs are good, but I'd only recommend you go on one of their newer ships (Voyager or Freedom class) because those have more interesting facilities for kids -- ice skating rink, surfing simulator, water park. Nightlife isn't so hot, though.

Nickelodeon cruise looks great. It's on RCI's Freedom of the Seas, so it's the best of RCI with more activities. The down side is there's only one a year, and it'll probably be fairly expensive.

Disney. Always great for families. They do a really superb job. But the adults might not like all-Mickey-all-the-time. And there's no casino onboard (unique among cruise lines).

Princess and NCL are the only other cruise lines you might want to look into, but Princess is like Carnival but higher end and less fun. NCL is sloppy and I have trouble recommending them these days.

The other guy pretty much laid it out for you well but the only thing I have to add is another line the Norieagian Cruise Line has freestyle cruising which means no certain time for dinner or reseverations required.It had lots of places for the kids to go and fun things look them up.And yes tropical is the best so fun and relaxing.

The first poster had most of the information down, but Disney does offer more than you would expect for adults. There are adult only locations on board the ship, and on Disney's private island. Don't be afraid of what you'll do with the kids though... Disney's programs are exceptional. Disney also has a really neat package that includes staying at WDW. You should probably get some brochures from the cruises and compare them yourself to see what works the best for everyone.

Royal Carribean is great! There is enough to do for anyone of any age!

I like Disney and Carnivals. Its really great and more fun!

The Disney cruise is UNBELEAVABLE FUN! We had such a big group (14) and just as big age range (49 to 6) and everyone had something to do allday and all of us loved it.

Carnival is what we use every year for our family vacation (live in Florida) and I highly recommend is, it has Camp Carnival for the kid and Club O2 for the teen and will have a great time as will the adults.
I would recommend a western Caribbean cruise in stead of the Bahamas ans it is further south and more tropical
