Question about moving to Richardson texas, any info of area would be appreciated:)? |
Hello, Fiance and I (and one child) are thinking about moving to richardson texas for a job. Is this a good area? what are the people and neighborhods like? is there an area close by that is better? A great deal of the towns in the north Dallas area are all great cities. Richardson is great. There is a lot of businesses and chains there. It is practically connected to Dallas. Dallas has more shopping per capita than any other city in the United States. I would definitely recommend Richardson. It is a very pretty area as well. If you decide that Richardson isn't for you, then I recommend Frisco, TX. It is 30 minutes away (it doesn't seem that long) and is a great community for families. The crime rate is low, the restaurants are awesome, and the mall and shopping centers are awesome. The neighborhoods are also great. But I would recommend Richardson. Frisco is only if you decide the Richardson isn't what you want. God Bless!* I use to work in Richardson up to almost three or months ago and I can tell you it is an up and coming area. The job market is good, depending on what you are looking for. Its a nice area depending on where you are living as with all areas. I would recommend it. Just do the research on your own, such as crime rating, schools in the area, population..etc. I hope things work out for your fam. It's just outside the 635 beltway and pretty much a N. subburb of Dallas. It's not a bad place, has it's own little downtown area, the only thing that gets to me is the traffic congestion Hard to go wrong with Richardson, its basically Dallas minus the ghettoness and crime. Home to the telecom corridor and an easy communte to Dallas. However, you should know all the houses are old and small but very reasonably priced. It's a fine place. Look at Plano too, it's close by. I am Realtor that lives and focuses in the Richardson area. Depending on your price range you can have a variety of houses to choose from. You can choose from the small cottage houses which are very popular or you can find new homes in far east Richardson. I used to live in Richardson for 6-7 years. I LOVED it until we had to move. The neighbors are super nice. For example once I really needed to use a phone so I rang a random doorbell and they let me used it then there was this one time where me and my sisters were home alone and there was a huge thunderstorm, we got scared and ran to a random house and asked to stay there (I know young and stupid). I really liked Richardson and going to move back there when I can but you can also check out Plano, Murphy, Frisco, or like the border between Richardson and Garland (has nice homes). They have awsome schools that would give your child a good education! I go to a GISD (Garland Independent School District) school now but it isn't even half as good as PISD (Plano Independent School District). Sorry I know it was long but I'll stop now. Hope this helps! |
