Travelling on my own from Brisbane to Alice Springs - Is it better to travel with a car or by public transport

It's about 3000KM by car (less as the crow flies). That's a couple of days. The drive is pretty boring. You could get a bus from Brisbane but I would suggest flying. Flights start about $400

A long drive like that by yourself in a car is dangerous ,the trucks, the roos, not to mention your fatige it's better to go by plane or bus and probably cheaper too

If you don't want to fly, I would go to one of the many tourist info places across Australia and book a bus trip.

It is way too dangerous to travel that kind of distance by yourself and it will take longer than a bus trip because you will have to keep stopping.
