What is the cheapest way to travel from Darwin to Sydney? By air, coach or train? And how long each journey?

Definatly by air. for mid october here are approximate fares

Qantas $293 BEWARE 1AM DEPATURE
Also via Brisbane and Alice springs (higher fees)

Virgin Blue $260 via Brisbane BEWARE 1AM DEPATURE

The later you book, the more chance of

1. Cheap Fare selling out and have to go a higher fare

2. Cheap Fare going way overpriced.

Air: pretty cheap, but weird hours. Will take about 6 or 7 hours.
Drive: expensive, but you'll see so much more. Expect to take several days.
Train: nice, expensive, but so much fun! You'll go via Adelaide, then Melb then to Sydney. Will take about 3 days.
