What is the best period to visit north australia? |
Thank you from Italy well not now it is the wet season but wait till end of jan or early feb them go make sure you visit the wet area,s of the NT you will see it at all it,s beauty & some of the best sunset's you will ever see but do not forget the mossie spray they are big and biting more so around sunset Hi like all tropical places when the monsoons hit it's very wet for months on end.Thats the sort of weather your looking at between October and April (wet) or the May and September (dry).Either can be a spectacular.See the link below. Winter - domestic/international flights are cheaper and its not as wet hot and humid, no box jelly fish and no crocs wondering and crossing billabongs. The Aussie winter (June-Aug) when it is NOT the monsoon season and not excruciatingly hot and humid! I'd go between May and September to avoid the monsoon. I visited Darwin in July and it was very pleasant weather wise. It is hot, but not unbearable. At this time, you can also take a trip into Kakadu Natl Park to the east. Beautiful |
