Anyone here from Darwin/Katherine/Alice Spring of NT Australia? I need help in the cost of living these places

Anyone here from Darwin/Katherine/Alice Spring of NT Australia? I need help in the cost of living these places

Everything is more expensive here - power, water(I find this one massive - I pay $1000 per year for water and sewerage - I pay only $150 per year in QLD for the same)
- the food is much more expensive - our saying is twice the price for half the quality of fruit and vegies.
Petrol I think is around 143c per litre in Darwin at the moment- Katherine is sometimes cheaper for this but everywhere else in NT is more expensive (like 186/litre)
Houses in the northern suburbs cost about 400,000 for an average (old) house, Rents for 3 bedroom units are about 350 per week and houses are over 400 per week - obviously these are just round figures to give you an idea of costs.

darwin is expensive, high rent, dear food, power n water is also dear, fuel is high, houses cost heaps, everything is dear here, u need a lot of spending money or a really good job to live here.
i've lived in darwin for 5 yrs.
