Weather at Ularoo in February?

Is it worth trying to travel to Ularoo (Ayres Rock) in February, I am concerned that the rainy season may ruin a holday

January is the hottest month, then December, then February. 80% of maximum temperatures at Uluru in February fall between 30掳C and 40.5掳C. The highest recorded in Feb is 45掳C.

The median rainfall is 14.3mm so the probability is that it will be dry while you are there. If it does rain, the rock is spectacular with waterfalls pouring off it.

If you intend to climb the rock, you will need to do it between dawn and 8am. Climbing after 8am is banned in February because of the high temperatures and the danger to climbers.

Uluru is worth the visit whatever the weather.

You wont have to worry about the rain ruining your holiday. If any rain does fall it evaporates in the heat before it hits the ground!

February is the hottest month of the year for that area. Temperatures in the 40c are quite common. The only rain at that time is caused by thunder storms & are very unpredictable.

I have workd for years in that area.

it dosn't rain there, its hot and sunny all year round
