Why can't Detroit care about itself?

Detroit is like a stinking junkie stoned comatose lying in they're own feces in some flop house.

I think Detroit could use a lot of work. But there are also some really great things about the city. I think we could start out with Kilpatrik....

What are you doing for Detroit? If you're not out there trying to make a difference than you can't criticize it. I see good things for the future of Detroit. And I know lots of people that live here that aren't giving up either.

I wouldn't go that far, but I would say that the residents tend to have an us vs. the world mentality. Kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face. The residents love a leader who will stand up against the suburbs, no matter how much damage those leaders cause the city. Mean while residents can't even shop for groceries in their own city.

Detroit is not one person. I believe that you are way out of line.

Report this Troll.

Ok, so how is your ignorant little posting insulting the people of Detroit going to make anything better?
Let me ask you this, Why cant ignorant trolls like you care enough about themselves to treat others with respect?
I know why, because you don't even respect yourself, obviously telling by your writing and the tone your using with your writing that you get off by attempting to make others feel bad because someone probably ruined your day by ***** slapping you or something.
There is no valid point to your question other than to stir things up, if you feel that strongly about a city you have never even been to, than just stay in your little hole that you most likely never ventured outside of.
And if you really do care so much about the city, than why don't you get up off your fat *** and try doing something about it, instead of just blowing hot air on the safety of the Internet.

who are you telling? detroit needs work in the inner city, fixing the downtown area is nice but it dosn't help 1% of the people who live in this grim city everyday.
