Traveling to the Galapagos Islands?

Anyone from the US have any recommendations on a tour company to the Galapagos Islands? Preferably including your air in addition to the land package.

we went with ecoventura, based in miami, www.ecoventura.com

they were fantastic, had the best trips, great crew, great itinery, and the guides spoke excellent english, knew their biological facts and really cared about the galapogos environment. Got a really good balance of walks and snorkelling with sea lions, turtles and hammerhead sharks. amazing! Lots of thought given to those additional extras.

Have an amazing time

Jodie,

There are several companies that are very reputable that deal with Galapagos cruises. Depending on what you're looking for (who is in your party, size of ship you want, etc.) you can look at Linblad Expeditions, Celebrity, Tauck Tours, and a few others.

You mention a land package, but be aware that most Galapagos tours are done on ships (of around 100 passengers or less), with visits to different islands every day. Also, the tours are in short supply, so try to book as early as you can (especially if you're looking for something very specific).

Most travel agents will be able to arrange this trip for you, including your airfare. Please let me know if I can help you with anything else. The Galapagos is a trip of a lifetime, you'll love it! My e-mail is ebrener57 at gmail.com

I have been to the Galapagos Islands twice. I used Lindblad Expeditions. It is more of an expedition than a vacation. It's a great place, the kids will love it. You do NOT need a travel agent, Lindblad takes care of everything and if you book early enough, you get a nice discount. Also everyone under 18 gets a discount.
