Cheap places to stay in Ecuador, Quito?

Hi Mike;
there are many cheap (but nice and safe) hostels in Quito as hotels could be very expensive. I will copy/paste what I wrote to another user hours ago. I hope these will do for you.

1. Hostal Jhomana: run by a couple (ecuarotian and swedish) Address: Gil Ramirez Davalos 151 y Av. Amazonas
It has wifi internet free connection as well as tv and hot water in the rooms.

2. Hostal Santa Barbara: an old colonial house re-built and refurbished. Address Av. 12 de Octubre N26-15 y Coru帽a.

3. Aleida's Hostal: Address Calle Andalucia N潞559 Y Salazar.

I strongly recommend either 1 or 2 first and if you dont like them go to number 3. All of them are very secured, they rate high on tourists security.
