Hostels in Quito (Equador)?

anyone know of any clean/cheap hostels
in quito

Yes, I can recommned many! These are some in order from best to "not so good":

1. Hostal Jhomana: run by a couple (ecuarotian and swedish) Address: Gil Ramirez Davalos 151 y Av. Amazonas
It has wifi internet free connection as well as tv and hot water in the rooms.

2. Hostal Santa Barbara: an old colonial house re-built and refurbished. Address Av. 12 de Octubre N26-15 y Coru帽a.

3. Aleida's Hostal: Address Calle Andalucia N潞559 Y Salazar.

I strongly recommend either 1 or 2 first and if you dont like them go to number 3. All of them are very secured, they rate high on tourists security.

BUT IF YOU GO TO AMAZONAS IN QUITO YOU CAN FIND MANY HOTELS. WHEN YOU GET THERE YOU CAN CHOOSE BETWEEN 5 STARTS 4 , AND THE CHEAP ONES.

I love Quito! I would recommend getting the Lonely Planet Book for Ecuador. It has listings of inexpensive hostels, places to eat, etc. If you want to take any side trips outside of Quito it will help you with that, also. We have gone to Ecuador twice in the last year and a half and it helped us immensely!
