Why us that to call Ecuador it will be .15-.35 cents a minute but to Italy it will be .1cent??

Ecuador is closer and Italy is farther just wanted to know why to some countries its cheaper even though they are farther

I don't know much about the subject, but i think because the telecomunications here in Ecuador are not still quite developed. The main reason to this is becauce we don't have a direct connection to the underwater cable of the region, this makes our telecomunication costs much more high because we depend on other countries cables. This will however change by next year because we are builting an underwater conextion rigt know.
