I am thinking of moving to Ecuador to the resort of Punta Blanca. Any helpful tips about this move?

There are lots of hotels and resorts in that zone. If it's not a really comfortable place, I would say don't risk it. Water is not permanent, around December till May, mosquitoes are an issue. Besides, right now there's a political confrontation in the zone.

Ensure yourself of the place before taking any risk.

Moving permanently? What do you plan to do for a life? Punta Blanca is very beautiful, the beaches can be gorgeous, but I wouldn't recommend living in Ecuador unless you have a good job to go with it. Good luck and enjoy!!!
