Has anyone been to Ecuador?

Hi. I love traveling the world. I been all over costa Rica and Panama now I making my way down to Ecuador in October for a week. Has anyone been there? If so did you have any problems? Traveling the world is my passion I been to Costa Rica so much that the last time I was there the Security guard seen me in line getting off the plane and waved "hey there Tyler" lol

Hey, i just got back from a trip to Peru and Ecuador. We went to Peru for about 7 days, and then flew to Quito, stayed there for a day, then flew to the Galapagos Islands on a cruise on the m/v galapagos Legend for 5 days/4 nights. dont wear shorts in ecuador even though its hot. I share your passion! I love traveling !

I can't answer your question because I haven't been there yet, but I will be there in one week! I'm studying abroad for 6.5 months. I hope we enjoy ourselves in Ecuador! Safe travels!

Been there! I've been to Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil. You will love it! What's nice about Ecuador (and most Latin American countries) is that you have beaches Mountians and jungles all in one country. There are amazing beaches in Ecuador. I recommend you visit Ba帽os and Otavalo while there, and also to jump to neighbouring countries such as Peru or Colombia if you have some time. A trip to Galapagos is worth it but it can be pretty expensive so I would rather go to Peru or Colombia first. There is no negative comment I can make, food is ok, people are friendly and you will have a nice experience. While there, try eating yapingachos which are like smashed potato balls, deep fried and with a tasty cheese filling.

I have been there three times. It's a Pensioners paradise. Loads of Americans retire there.

Watch out of the pickpocketers, they are everywhere!

I only liked Esmeraldas, Quito and the centre of the world (however it is a one-time visit thing as there is nothing to do there!) On the other hand Galapagos is worth visiting loads of times. It is better to get the package from abroad as it turns out more expensive in Ecuador.

All in all, no big deal and ever since the crurrency change to the dollar, it is no longer as a cheap. (Plus it is crammed with tourists!)

no

I have! =D

if u get to Ecuador in october u should go to Guayaquil on the 9th (they will prob be having a festival) that is the indenpendance day of that city.
there is only nothing to do if u don't kno where to b AT!
