What are some of the festivities in Ecuador?

What are some of the festivities in Ecuador?

If you are in the capital Fiestas de Quito are the best they are in december and it鈥檚 a party that goes on for days on end though out the city. Make sure you are with locals that know where to take you and where it鈥檚 save do to the heavy drinking that goes on thorough out the city.

Carnaval is also fun, it鈥檚 in February and the point s to get every one wet. People literally drive around in pick up truck with water pistols and buckets of water to wet every one and anything.. If you have a business on that day be careful!

All other festivals like the day of the dead people and holly week are not something that are very enjoyable some people will take long treks with hundreds of torches to go visit the dead miles away.

Then there is OLD year and New Year. The day before the New Year people will burn a mannequin as and drink in celebration to say goodbye to the old year and party into the New Year the next day and usually people will party for about one week straight. The indigenous people that is鈥?all American or foreigners are welcome鈥?Good luck!
