Do you know anything about current Ecuador or webs that I could look at? |
I going on a trip there with my sisters college class, I just want to know about the people, what it looks like, and food. Generally what it is like there now. I did, I didn't find anything I was looking for. The people of Ecuador are very nice, most are tan but thier skin color can range from very light to very dark. If you look white, becareful when traveling in the big cities such as Quito and Guayaquil. No one speaks English so bring your dictionary and atleast someone in the group should know spanish. Everything is very CHEAP. Not more than $40 is good for about a week ! Taxis are a good way to get around and so are buses, but I recommend taxis more. Be aware and always use common sense because there are pick-pocketers, especially children. Oh there is a lot of homeless people and children so bring a handful of dollar bills if you want.
