Are there waves to go surfing in Ecuador in June-July? Especially in the Salinas area?

I'm planning on taking a trip to Ecuador in June. My friend wants to go but i don't know if there are waves during those months, and i don't want him to come for no reason and the only way hes going is if there are waves. Especially in the Salinas area

There are always waves in Ecuador.The average temp is 80 degrees on the coast. Salinas is the starting point to the 'Route of the Sun' so there are quite a few beaches in the area such as Malecon, San Lorenzo, Chipipe, Mar Bravo, and nearby Punta Carnero.
Also,just 25 miles north of Salinas is a majestic beach called Monta帽ita, sometimes called "Surfer Town", a place where many Latin American countries come to participate in world class surfing events that take place year-round.
