Flying to Edinburgh from New York?

Now, I know Continental does it direct, but to fit in with my AmEx and my frequent flyer miles, AA or BA would be preferable.

There are three of us (2x Adults, 1x Child) and we are looking for preferably First Class and we really don't like Business with AA. If it was BA, we might consider it.

AA and BA don't go direct, you change at Heathrow. Change from Terminal 4 to Terminal 1 at Heathrow with BA with an 1hr 30 minute stopover and from Terminal 3 to Teminal 1 with AA with an 1hr 55 min stopover.

I have done this trip with Continental and can't fault them. It was much less trouble than conecting flights elsewhere.
