Is Edinburgh Castle worth visitng?

Is Edinburgh Castle worth visitng?

I think, tbh, it's one of these places where you might not enjoy, but will regret not visiting.

<3

I thought it was pretty interesting. We took the guided tour. Edinburgh is not a big place and there is not a whole lot to do, but what I did see was impressive. My advice? Don't skip the castle. And definitly stop by Calton Hill. Take pictures at the National Monument and climb Nelson's Monument. Very cool.

Well, when I was last there it was pretty boring.

<3 Muchos Lubb!

Its okay....touristy but intersting if you are look for good information....but if you really want a cool experience - check out Craigmillar Castle. Its there is Edinburgh too...but nobody goes so you get it all to yourself....and its like going back in time...its gorgeous!!

If you're going to be in Edinburgh, you most definitely should NOT miss it!

I would definitely say YES!! It is full of history. The remains of David's Tower, the Crown Jewels, Margaret's Chapel. There are lots & lots of wonderful places to get great pictures, and the views of the city are terrific! I enjoyed exploring every nook & cranny. Also, don't miss the 1 O'clock gun!

It's the number 1 attraction in Edinburgh It's worth seeing if you like history then go. If your OK for seeing it from a distance then you can see it from Princes Street (while your hitting the shops)

Yeah definately

only if you like smelly old mouldy buildings full of buried bones
and you can handle the earsplitting canon at 1'oclock
Linlithgow castle is much nicer

It's an interesting place to visit, especially as you have to walk up the High Street to Castlehill past The Cathedral, the Heart of Midlothian, the old tenement buildings and old public houses. Inside the castle you can see the Crown Jewels of Scotland, The National War Memorial, the Royal Apartments and the 12th century Chapel. You also get great views of all of Edinburgh from the battlements.
