Edinburgh or Glasgow? |
As you might have noticed =] i've asked some questions about edinburgh. but one of the girls reckons we should go to glasgow instead? what is the difference? where are the better shops? =] thankyou matees! =) Edinburgh has got a Harvey Nichols, does that answer your question? But seriously, Edinburgh has nicer people and you're less likely to get knifed in the street. I lived in Glasgow for a year, and often visited Edinburgh. I highly, highly recommend Edinburgh over Glasgow if you have to choose. They are both worth a visit, but Edinburgh is MUCH more beautiful and significant. Glasgow is an old, industrial town. It is not nearly as scenic, historical, or interesting. It's still worth a visit! But Glasgow pales in comparison to Edinburgh. Why not visit both - they are not that far from each other. edinbrugh Edinburgh is more upmarket, especially George street, but Glasgow has more shops, although remember the saying "quality is better than quantity" but as someone has already suggested, why not stay in Edinburgh and go to Glasgow for a shopping day,it is only about 30 mins in the train. |
