Advice re: Edinburgh Visit?

People! Assist me. Myself and 12 mates are visiting Edinburgh next weekend on a lads bash to celebrate my imminent emigration to Ireland.

We are staying in the centre and are going to a Hibs match on Saturday afternoon. Any good boozer recommendations - near the ground for pre and post match boozing and then more generally about the place. Also, any decent indie or retro sort of night clubs that we will get into as an all male group???

Any "top tips" welcomed. Any additional boozers more than welcome to pop bye and say hello !!!

C'mon people...

The pubs around the Playhouse at the top of Leith Walk are gay. Go to the Artisan at the top of Easter Road from pre match beers.

Your emigrating to where?
Ireland?
Good God man - hasn't anyone told you?

It's crawling with Irish people there.
Pull yourself together for goodness sake before it's too late.
Otherwise, within two ot three years you'll be wandering around saying things like

"Begegorrah"
and
"Ah - to be sure"

Hi Mick for you and you boys, go to Gayfield area of Edinburgh across from The Playhouse at the bottom of Leith Walk. You'll get a great reception when you go it.

It's a known Hib's area, so you and your lads will be made at home.

UP THE HIBERNIAN ?

All the best pubs in Edinburgh are in the Old Town these days. Go to the Royal Mile or The Grassmarket after the match. The Cowgate (just off The Grassmarket) has loads of clubs for you to choose from later on at night.

See link:

The Albion Bar is about the nearest pub to Easter Road.

MON THE HIBS!!!!! Who are they playing? I'll need to check the fixtures! The Wee Red Bar and The Venue are good nightclubs there.
