Ladies, do you iron your husbands shirts ...?

Or do you feel this is against your rights as a woman.

Jack's wasted life:
Calm down sister, I don't mean any sarcasm here. I even did the laundry to my pregnant wife before, so, chill out :)

To make a long story short: I iron, shine shoes, cook, clean, and badala3 3ala ila7'ir to the extent of removing the seeds from the watermelon and slicing mango ready to be eaten neatly with a fork! I admit this annoys his female colleagues! :D However, this is because he treats me like a princess, so he deserves to be treated like a king.

I must admit though, that these past few years I have a cleaning lady since my back gives me trouble, and the ironing mostly goes to the makwagy unless we are maznoo2een and I have to do it myself! Ilbaraka fi farah ba2a, she created a lot more work for me! However, I am willing to do anything if I have to, and have no problem whatsoever with all that feminism crap of karamty wilhabal da! As long as I am appreciated, treated fairly, and he does his fair share of the work, I'm ready to do anything to please him too.

Hell no. My husband does the folding. If he wants his shirts pressed, he has to do it.

Normally I do the ironing, but at the moment my husband is reluctantly doing it because I have a broken elbow and cannot lift the iron. I have no problems with doing the ironing as long as he does his fair share of diy and such like....it's share and share alike in our household!

Sue...I don't fold the shirts, I put them on hangers instead...much easier!

I am single , and very special to myself , so I Iron only my own clothes , even sheets on my bed .

I don't even iron my own shirts! We have an understanding that we both work and we both contribute to the household so its ownly fair that we do our own laundry. It has nothing to do with womens rights but has everything to do with an even partnership.

No, I send them to Makwagy because my husband does not like my ironing, but I Iron my cloths and my kids cloths too.

I do if I like. I don't if I don't like!

I'm sorry but I dont think the way you worded your question is apprropriate..I sensed some agressiveness! Eventhough I agree with you in what you're trying to say but I dont appreciate the sarcastic tone!

Taking care of my husband is in no way against my rights. I hate how some people call it 'women rights', I prefer to call it 'human' rights because after all I'm a human!

Men and women should be equal in rights, different in tasks. Thats why God created two kinds and not just one.. so both could complete each other. Our roles in life are different but that doesnt make one party better or more rightful than the other.

Why would it be against our rights..?

I'm not married, but I would have a problem ironing my husbands shirts if he wanted me to. :\

well salah the woman is not a servent

man and woman should help in the house work 50 % 50 %

and prophet Mohamed used to help his wives in house work wala bas fal7een te7ta7oo bo2akom 3ala el gawaz akter men wa7da

Assalaamu Alaikum Brother,

I am not married yet will Inshalla get married soon. But as I am engaged and my HABIBI is also here staying along with my brother in the staff accommodation so I am just washing clothes for both of them but Inshalla I will Iron his clothes as well once we will get married and stay together as this is my responsibility (being a Muslim) to take good care of my Husband and his things.

There is nothing to feel it against women鈥檚 rights. Its all meter of love and I Love my Habibi too much couz he also loves me and cares about my small small things.

I am agree with Noha what she said.

Take care

Allah Hafiz

Allah Hafiz

I think maybe if she will the iron

so the husband will be responsiblity for cleaning the dishes
:D
this is life man
do and u will find :P
there is no free offers these days

I do everything for my husband, gladly, but HE irons his own shirts.
I hate ironing, lol.

I am not married, and i dont find anything wrong in it, since the nature of the woman is also to take care of the house, but always with the help of the men..
The womens rights are not in the housework, but in legal issues, such as she doesnt have to be abused, she must have the same retirement and salary, she has to study too, and to be respected by the society...
Certainly, i consider that the equal relation has to be by both sides, the man has to help also at home when he can, as greek i dont expect so much, but at least a support wouldnt be bad

:-) i iron everything except my husband's shirt, this a proffessional doing :-) but the rest is on me :-)

Ana daba7t 2l 2ota men zaman.
have to go now, heaps of clothes to iron!!
@farah, way to go girl!!!!!

I iron his shirts but he would still support me by climbing the highest mountain for me to achieve my goals..that is real equality.. Alhamdulilah
