How much is a taxi cab in germany? |
whats the base cost and also how much it is per mile? They vary but all I have taken start out with a flat rate to start and you can watch the meter rising as you are with them and it keeps going based on TIME not distance, so make sure you know your way well so they do not add extra miles and time on to you to cost more. good luck! they charge a fortune and the rates vary and no one charges the "official" rate. It depends very much. In the countryside, taxi tariffs are way out of bounds; you'll pay something like 1.4 euros a kilometer (that's two thirds of a mile) and some extra fare just for calling them. In the cities, there are other regulations. For longer distances, you usually agree on a flat tariff. Mind that gasoline is really expensive in Germany, so taxi fares may have their reason. Every city and federal state have their own rules about it, and private companies (where they're allowed) can charge virtually anything they want as long as you agree. But, on the other hand, you have thoroughly checked, clean cars, and experienced drivers, that can take for three hundred miles, if you can afford it. The only time I would take a taxi is from the airport to my hotel. After that, if you're in Frankfurt, get a bus, train, trolly pass. You can buy them by the day or week. It is sooooooooo |
