Things to do at Frankfurt?

Hi!
I will be a couple of days at Frankfurt, can you suggest any good and cheap hostel?
Also things to do at Frankfurt, or near to it. I will be only 2, 3 days over there. Also I will visit Munich for the same time, any suggestion about hostel, food, sights things to do or shopping is welcome.

The Hauptbahnhof is wonderful...

There you can have lots of Henniger Bier and eat Bratwurst as well as lust after hot German women!!! Especially the Ukrainian women that emigrated to Germany are hot; short skirts, stockings, and stiletto heel boots!!!!

Just hurry for the next train to Hamburg
Greetings from Hamburg, Germany
Heinz

Frankfurt:

IYHA/HI hostel at Deutschherrnufer 12 is a big and noisy place with lots of people on school trips and even more people getting up at an ungodly hour to catch a flight. It has the charm of a hospital, but it is cheap and in a good (safe and relatively central) location.

For things to do see the official website or ask at the hostel reception.

I liked visiting the Jewish museum the last time I was in Frankfurt, but IIRC everything was labeled in German.

In Munich the hostel to use is the Meininger.

I've not been there yet, but I really liked their two Berlin branches. I've been assured that the Munich branch is just as nice.

Make sure to check out the old town and shopping area...its Christmas Market time and Frankfurt has an amazing market in the old town. For good hostel bargains check out: www.hostelworld.com . I use it regularly when I travel around...you will get feedback and pics of hostels. Have fun!!

turist information, as I don麓t know what you like to see or shop.
Both pages will have a link for Munich as well.

Don't miss shopping at the Zeil, a long strip of stores smack in the middle of the city. You can get anything there. Of note is Peek & Cloppenburg, a great clothing store with great quality stuff. West of the Zeil (just walk straight ) is what they call the Fressengasse, another strip with lots of places to eat. If you are of age and want to kick back with a few brews, head across the river to Alt Sachsenhausen. Watch it if you go to the red light disrict around the main train station. You can get ripped off easily here a the bars where girls come up asking you to buy them a drink. This is my new hometown and a great place if you can appreciate it. Have fun!

Well, you麓ll loose one day travelling to Munich without seeing any of the city, unless you would travel at night. So you should consider if it wouldn麓t be any better to spend all your time in the Frankfurt area.
The Christmas market started this week. Close to it is the Zeil for shopping, as mentioned before. If you麓re interested in museums you麓ll find all kinds. The Staedel museum is famous for it麓s art.
A nice way of seeing some of Frankfurt is the Ebbelweiexpress. An old streetcar where you麓ll be served appel vine or apple juice while travelling the streets of Frankfurt.
At the English theatre presently they play "5 guys named Moe". A funny show. You should like music of the 20th. :-)
Heidelberg is another "must" to tourists and a castle to visit!
In the neighborhood of Frankfurt are many castles and in Bad Homburg even the reconstruction of a roman castle.
You may simply ask people while being in Frankfurt for suggestions or visit the various tourist offices for some advice.
Enjoy your trip!
