Best arabic country to visit if you only have 1 week ?

For my next holiday i'd like to get a (bit) a first taste of the Arabic world... I only have one week though, so after flying would not like to travel too much.

What would be a good location, city or country to "do" ? (I know this sounds very American, sorry, i really only have one week, and will definitely go back for a much longer time if i fall in love with the country).

Choukran

I think Morocco would be the best option. This country is improving every year. I would prefer to stay in a Riad, ( a Riad is a former Arabian Palace). In Morocco you have sun, beach, snow, desert, mountains, romantic city centers or hectic 麓souks麓, basically anything you want. You can travel very easily by train as this is a cheap option and there is a good connection in between the maincities.

England. Lots of Arabs and they will soon adopt sharia law.

Afghanistan. Never a dull minute!

U.A.E. They aren't as strict as say Saudi Arabia.

qatar, i was stationed in many places in the middle east, but i thought qatar was very beautiful, there's an american marriott and the gold and pearl sooks are very high quality and inexpensive.

U.A.E - Dubai

hi,
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a union of seven sovereign sheikhdoms, formed when the British withdrew from the Gulf in 1971. It boasts mountains, beaches, deserts, oases, camel racing, markets and the renowned duty-free shopping of dazzling Dubai - all packed into a relatively small area.

The UAE is a contradictory place where traditional Bedouin lifestyle meets Western consumerism and big-town bling. But rather than clashing, these disparate influences have produced a unique 21st-century nation that combines the cultures of conservative Islam and the liberal West in one package
When to go
The best time of the year to visit the UAE is between November and April, when the weather is at its coolest.

I was impressed with Kuwait. I went there several times when I was in Iraq and couldn't get over how clean it was. I hope to go back some day and visit Kuwait City, especially Liberation Tower.

Dubai, it's very clean and there are a lot of new developments. If I'm correct it's one of the fastest growing countries in the world right now.

These people don't know what they are talking about. One place that I'm dying to go to is Dubai! It is beautiful and classy. It is known as the richest country in the middle east. I've heard so many good things about the country, I even heard that the taxi's are really nice caddy's or lexus's... Amazing.

Hi

I would recommend the following:

1 - Lebanon : amazing sightseeing landscapes/ruins , excellent food ,moderate weather and excellent night life. The nicest thing it is very small you can visit it all in 3 days . Also you can enjoy a nice swim in the sea after you get back from a Ski Trip.

2 - Dubai (United Arab Emirates) : numerous attractions but pretty expensive. Hot and Humid Weather though

3 - Egypt : you can get a nice tour where they take you for like for 2 days to "Cairo" (check out the Pyramids and the nile) and then couple of days in "Sharam El Sheikh"(located on the Red Sea) where you can go and do all sorts of Water Sports (scuba diving , snoorkling ,...)

4 - Jordan : you can check out "Amman"(Capital) nice ruins and then to "Aqaba" bay where they have excellent resorts for all kind of Water Sports.

I have placed the above in the order of preference.

Since you are an American then you do not need a VISA to these countries , you will get a VISA on the airport.

Have Fun

Dubai in UAE blindly tops the best destination. Highest tower in the world, sand, sun, dune, best shopping malls in the whole of Middle East. No bar on bars and discos. All of Europe thronging to it. You won't regret. At the same time you will come across local culture. Whatever Arab country you wanna visit pl do it within a month or so otherwise it will get unbearably hot.

Casablanca. MOROCCO or maybe Dubai. UAE

By far Tunisia is not the best Arabic country. It's definitely not the richest as they don't have endless petrol & gas. It's a very beautiful country full of hard working people, where woman is respected and appreciated like nowhere else in the Arab world, you get to see a very interesting variety of historical sites, amazing beaches, the simply extraordinary Desert. Tunisians are also very friendly people and you'll love every minute of it. 99% of my clients when I was a tour guide there absolutely adored it and thought it was a great place to visit. You also get a feel that it's a mixture between the modern occidental world and the original middle-eastern / Arabic culture.
I hope this helps ;)

as u can see many ppl said Dubai, and ya it's nice
but check out Doha, Qatar

it really rocks!
