Is schoolies week cosidered low or high season?

is qld schoolies week (22-29 november) considered low, med or high season when it comes to booking accommodation? 10 points to first correct answer!??! thanks.

thanks andy m u'll probably get best answer. do u know if it would be high season on north stradbroke island? im thinking no because the websites don't mention it in any season. but i need to know for sure so can estimate a total cost.

It is definately high season at that time of year and north stradbroke island is very popular for schoolies (being in the goldcoast area). Sorry, but expect to pay the highest price for your accommodation.

Depending on what part of the country. Gold Coast and other popular spots around South Queensland and Northern NSW definetly. In fact accommodation is probably more than high season.

I think it is considered medium/high as it is at the end of November going onto December but check with a travel agency first.

Schoolies Week is considered high season, for schoolies who are booking accommodation.
In fact many places charge schoolies well over the normal high season rate.

schoolies starts in mid to late novemeber (as you know) and signals the start of the high season for accomodation, flights and activities.

north stradbroke island do have schoolie celebrations but nothing as big as the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

it is best to book early and ask the hotel mananger if they are expecting schoolies while you are there, they should know by now as most do book as soon as they can (around 10 months before schoolies).

and even if they havent been booked yet, some hotels do atract more schoolies than others, check with the hotle of how busy they have been over the last few schoolies periods.

north straddy is popular for many things as there is so much to do there....book early, save money and then you have a room before the school leavers do.
