What is the minimum wage in Australia for 18 year old?

What is the minimum wage in Australia for 18 year old?

That depends on lots of variations.

1. The industry in which you work
2. Casual vs Part-time vs Full-time, all pay different rates.
3. Which state you live in.

Your best idea would be to find the award relevent to your position. If in nsw its 'the department of industrial realtions". Just google "award wages in (insert state)".

If its a federal award, most likely if you work for a national company, i.e Woolworths. Then you need wagenet to find the award wage.

As your under 21, your not covered by an adult rate and will be paid as per your age, with an increase in pay every birthday until your 21. Adult rates are alot higher then Junior rates.

for what job?

pay rates would be different depending on the industry i would imagine.

The adult minimum wage is approx $15 an hour.

Depends on the state and the job. In Tasmania which has the lowest wages in Australila it is around $14.90. Very low. That is for a casual, a full-time person gets less than that again. Not to much less but less.
