US citizens going to Bond?

I'm most likely coming to Bond University in September, and I'm looking for people to hang out with and teach me the ropes of the gold coast. Im really shy and reserved. You dont only have to be from the US either Really Im just looking for a great group of people to learn and have fun with

I wouldnt know cos Im in Perth (the other side of the country completely). But maybe enrol in some sportig clubs. Stick with Basketball cos with aFL while your young, there is a lot of skill from people.

In Queensland NRL (Rugby League) is really popular. Apparently more than AFL (Australian Rules Football). So Probably watch sports. Oh and of course cricket =]

Gold Coast- Hmmm beaches are popular. Its prettyneasy to fit in I guess. Wear thongs (flip flops) an boardies...t shirt is opttional and youll fit right in =]
