How many days to visit vienna, austria?

Do you think 2 days is way too short ?

It is a bit short, so you will have to focus on a few sights, but it is definitely worth it. I'd recommend three to five days for first time visitors, but even a weekend will be worth it.

I agree, 2 days are not enough! Vienna is not only the capital of Austria but also the largest city. There is a great nightlife, lots of museums, art galleries, churches, markets, palaces, etc. to explore.

Here are some things to do, and most of the sights and best restaurants and cafes are inside or near the Ringstrasse:

Visit Schonbrunn Palace and its extensive grounds - a hedge maze, baroque zoo, restaurants, musuem, etc.

Belvedere Palaces and its landscaped gardens - it houses several extensive art galleries.

Visit the Volksprater Funfair at the Prater.

The best shopping places are on Karnter, Kohlmarkt and Mariahilfer streets.

Vienna is also full of great restaurants and cafe konditoreis (cake and coffee). If you want to try a local pub with lots of history, visit the Griechenbeisl Inn on Fleischmarkt street.

I highly recommend checking this website out for sights, restaurants and hotels:

Have a great time!

Cheers,

It's not enough, but it depends on how you want to divide up your time either in just this beautiful city or elsewhere.
