Is Adolf Hitler related to the schickelgrubers of Austria.?

Is Adolf Hitler related to the schickelgrubers of Austria.?

There are some people in Austria who are related to Adolf Hitler, but they should be left alone to get on with their lives, just like you.
Are you related to Genghis Khan- he left a lot of descendents!

Yes and no.
First, there are many families with that name in Austria and most of them have nothing to do with Adolf Hitler. If your family is named Bush that does not mean you are family member of the US president...
Second, the father of Adolf Hitler had the name Schicklgruber, the mother had the maiden name Poelzl. There are also many Poelzl's in Austria and they also mostly are not related to Adolf Hitler.
Third, you must know that Adolf Hitler always tried to hide his family roots and I am sure even those Schicklgrubers and Poelzls who really are from the same family are quite happy that he did not have too many contact to them.
So please, whenever you meet a "Schicklgruber", just treat her or him as a very normal person - okay?
Best regards
Wolfgang Reindl
(not a relative of the German ice hockey crack...)
