What is mass transportation sytems in austria?

If you get the answer off a website please tell me what website you got that from! :0) thanx

There are few places in Austria that cannot be reached by public transportation. Unfortunately, your question is so general that it is hard to give you specific information. As Ingmar said, there is an excellent train system (go to http://www.oebb.at for info and schedules -- there is an English version) and there are several other systems, both local and cross-country. Most people take the train for longer distances, and bus, trolley or (in Vienna) subway for shorter distances. My answer is not from a website, it is based on personal experience. If you have any particular place in mind, feel free to add detail to your question, and you will get a more specific answer.

It'll depend on where you are. In urban areas, you will have a sufficient network of buses and sometimes tramways, plus an excellent subway network in Vienna. In rural areas, there are sometimes only a few buses a day, so getting around is more difficult. In addition, all major cities can be reached via train.
