Are Jamaica and the Caribbean the same place?

I don't think they are. I think the Caribbean is made up of sevral countries and islands but I am not sure.

Jamaica is one of them, So is Grand Caymen, where I once had an apartment, well some time ago.
Trinidad, Barbados, all part of Caribbean.
