Saona island (dominican republic) vs paradise island (bahamas?

I have been to saona island in the DR it was beautiful! I myself have never been to the bahamas but my mom has and she loved it she went to paradise island and she said it was nice. If your trying to decide which island to go to i would go with the bahamas it more developed and i believe you can actually stay on paradise island in the DR saona island is like a natural park it doesnt have any hotels on it you take an excursion to get there. Thats great fun too and the food and activities were fun!

I didn't know there were hotels/resorts on Saona Island. I was under the impression this was a great place to go on a boat excursion tour to swim, snorkel or dive. This island is off the Bayahibe area of DR.

Paradise Island is located on the island of New Providence with resorts, restaurants, shopping etc.

Hard to compare, what's better. Are you on a cruise? I have been to the Dominican Republic and the beaches are very nice. I have also been to Paradise Island and the beaches there are also very nice. I would say DR is not as expensive as the Bahamas.

Either one would be a joy. More to do on Paradise Island. Depends what you are looking for. If your looking to just relax, swim, snorkel or dive. Saona Island would be best.
