Which Caribbean place is the safest/nicest to visit? |
Hey I was considering taking a trip down to the Caribbean and was wondering which of these following places were the safest to visit (I am Spanish and Irish so anywhere where white people that look like they may have money are not in THAT much danger): Aruba, Curacao, Saint Lucia, Saint Thomas, Puerto Plata, or St. Kitts? Also, which one would you recommend? Thanks, 10 points to the best answer! Curacao or St. Kitts and Nevis would be my recommendation. But there are so many choice and safe destinations in the Caribbean. Are you traveling in a group or just by yourself? As long as you stay in bigger resorts in bigger towns and do not travel alone, especially night time. Don't carry too much cash and do not wear very visible luxurious items, you are ok. You find some interesting and useful Caribbean information at this URL: http://www.tropicalcaribbeantravel.com dude...google it St. Thomas is the best but im also recomending St. Maarten/Sint Martin. They are both beautiful Visit St. Lucia. Its beautiful and safe. I have gone there twice and have never had a problem. The locals are very friendly and laid back, they have no problem welcoming you regardless of your color. St.Kitts and Nevis are very nice islands to visit. They are sisters islands and about two miles apart (a half an hour boat ride) so you get two islands for the price of one. They have carnival in December and a wonderful music festival in June. It is really nice and pretty safe............I hope you have a wonderful vacation. I would have to say St Maarten/St Martin would have to be the nicest place, i used to own a vactaion home there and went there to get away from snow. The locals are really friendly and there is plenty to do there. Go to Zebrabot.com for more info on St Maarten. But out of your list St.Kitts would be the best place, i took a vacation there once, plenty of beaches and activities. Saint Thomas is beautiful! Except for the fact when you want to get to the beaches the taxi drivers are nuts! But its totaly worth the horrible drive too see all the beautiful things. There is alot too do there. Great shopping for everyone. I cant say anything about the other places because i have never been there. But if your looking for a great time go to Saint Thomas. Maygens bay is beautiful if your looking for a little beach with not very many people. Good luck! |
