Things to do in St. Maarten?

My family is thinking about going to St. Maarten for about five days in april. I was wondering what activities there are to do there, like shopping, water sports, ect. Thanks.

Shopping my favorite thing to do on St Maarten.

Front street in Philipsburg. The best shopping prices in the Caribbean. Liquor, jewelry, watches, cameras, cigrettes, cigars, clothes and art.

Rima Beach World, the largest resortwear store on the island. Great prices and quality products. Located on Pondfil Road, Philipsburg.

Plenty to do. check out this link

enjoy and good luck)

Great choice!!! St. Maarten is known for it all!!!! shopping, beaches, restaurants, casinos etc etc.

Go to the beaches and look, then laugh, at all the naked fat Europeans

st.maarten, the land of my birth, is filled with activities....front street takes the crown for shopping...you could also go on the boardwalk....the are lots of beaches....you will enjoy the sand....lots of water sports also....i really think that you will enjoy your stay..the people are friendly also....

Water: Take the ferry and your snorkel gear to Pinel. Lots of water sports at Orient; if you're offended by naked people, stay away from the Club O resort at the southern end of the beach. For a different beach experience, check out Friar's Bay. Take one of the island day sails out of Simpson Bay. Visit Maho and watch the planes land over the beach. The cliffs at Cupecoy are awesome but the beach comes and goes.

Dining: Eat at a lolo or fine restaurant in Grand Case. Check out some of the small bakeries on the French side.

Drinking: Almost everyone has happy hours. Many places offer 2-1 specials. At the Sunset Bar topless women drink free.

Shopping: Aside from Front Street, check out the open-air market in Marigot (I think Wednesdays and Saturdays). Visit the MaDouDou shack at Cul-de-sac and sample the infused rums. Try the Match supermarket for baguettes, cheese, wine, and a distinctly European selection of grocery items.

Other activities: Check out the butterfly farm at LeGalion or Loterie Farm.
