Riga.... worth a visit?

Im looking at visiting for two days. Is there much to see and do?

Well, like some said, the best is to visit Riga from may to October, because the weather can be quite nasty sometimes
If you like bars, clubs and stuff like that then there will be lot's to do even on winter time. Also if you enjoy museums, theaters, concerts, opera then you will have lots to do there too.

There are also some cool, things to do a few km outside of Riga like aerodium.lv so just use search engines and you will find some places and events

i cant answer really becuase i have not been, but its on my hit list, you must go surely any new city must be worth two days, if you get bored sample bars, clubs, eat out eat local cuisine..i'm jealous i want to go !

I went on a stag do last yeaR.
Loads of bars and clubs.
Can recommend Fashion bar as a good night out.
The local women are amazing plus you get a lot of Swedes who go to Riga for the cheap booze.
I stayed in Hotel Riga which is in heart of the city.
Everything is cheap (booze 拢1, cigs 75pence) apart from 'Lapdances' which cost about 35-40 quid.

Loads of galleries and museums if thats what you like - including The Museum of Communist Occupation !!!

Yes, Riga is real nice and interesting and worth to visit. But better to do it in summer or late spring
