Cook Job In Germany?

I am looking into moving to Germany for a year or so to work as a cook. I have attended culinary college here in Canada, and am a registered appretice. I would like to find an employer in Germany to hire me on, and help set me up with some kind of lodgings. Can someone please email me some places that I can look into. Location does not really matter to me just the opportunity to work in Germany as a cook is very appealing.

Thanks.

Hello are you Canadian citizen? It might be a little difficult as you will need a visa including a work permit.
But if you find an employer you might be able to get that.
There is a German Newspaper specialised on Restaurants and Hotels called AHGZ online version is
http://www.ahgz.de/

This will sound - perhaps - stupid but just about every city and town in Germany has a web page. 99% of the time it is the town name.de (meersburg.de, konstanz.de, wolfach.de, get the idea?) The web page usually lists hotels and restaurants in the town/city. I suggest you pick a few towns/cities where you would like to work and then go the the web sites, contact the hotels/restuarnst that you think look good and ask about a position on staff as a cook. Once you get there you will have a chance to move on if you do not like the first spot. But get your foot in the door.

I guess you speak a little German?
